I had a fun time on the horse ride, and the staff seemed really nice and helpful. I do think it was a little on the pricey side, but overall it was a good experience

The room was really clean, and the bathroom was in good shape too. Nothing fancy to complain about, just a solid, well-kept place to stay.

We ended up staying here mostly because it’s in Middleburg, and I have to say, the area really is beautiful. As soon as we got there, I noticed all the trees, open space, and quiet roads around the resort, which gave it a really peaceful feel.

I liked how calm everything felt, especially when we were just walking around and taking it easy. The only thing is that it’s definitely a bit out of the way, so when we wanted to grab something quick or find more restaurant options, it wasn’t super convenient.

Overall, I’d say it’s a nice place if you’re looking to relax and enjoy a pretty, quiet setting. For us, it was pleasant, but we did miss being closer to shops and restaurants.

We mostly went for the outdoor activities, that part was enjoyable. The grounds are really to walk around, and the bike ride was calm and relaxing in a way that made it easy to just slow down for a bit.
The horseback riding was definitely the highlight for me. The staff there seemed patient and friendly, which made the experience feel comfortable. That said, a few things felt a little overpriced, and the booking times were more limited than I expected.

Spent the weekend at Salamander Resort and it was exactly what I needed. Super calm, easy, and comfortable. The room was nice, the grounds were great for wandering around, and I slept really well. Staff was friendly without hovering. Definitely pricey, but worth it for a reset. I’d go back.

I’m not totally sure why I was surprised, but the breakfast was really good. The eggs tasted fresh, and the coffee was actually good too, which I didn’t expect for some reason.

Check-in was super easy. The front desk staff were really nice. We were tired, and they got us sorted fast. Quick info, no hassle. Great first impression.

The bartender was really cool and the drinks came out fast. whoever runs this place is to blame for making it way too easy to hang out at the bar longer than planned
